The General Commission on Archives and History serves the church through the memory of ministry, allowing United Methodists to learn from their past and anticipate our future. Its work not only preserves the history of the denomination and its antecedents but makes it accessible. Many resources and guidance are available to those capturing and preserving the history of their congregation and conference.
This Heritage Sunday we examine the church's complicated history on racism and how Methodists have historically both combated racism and perpetrated it.
Learn moreUn-Tied Methodism is a podcast exploring the history of The UMC to understand why it is the way it is and what its future might look like.
